Let's Go Home

Bringing a new Ragdoll kitten home is such an exciting moment, but it's also a big change for them. Give your new Ragdoll time to settle in at their own pace by creating a calm, quiet space where they feel safe. A familiar scent, along with fresh water, food, and a warm, cozy place for them to rest, can help them relax and adjust more comfortably.  Three days of  "decompress", Three weeks of "settle in", and Three months to "feel at home"

The Rule of Three

A Litter box with low profile is all you need

quiet room when time to rest

A low sided litter box is all you need. No fancy hoods or automatic litter robots at this time. Your kitten will be most familiar with a low sided simple box. As far as quantity, depends on how large your home is. A litter box on each level of home is a must for success!

Keep It Simple

Set up a safe space

Establish a temporary quiet room for your kitten, something small with just the necessities of food, water, and litter pan. Your kitten will become familiar with where it's litter box is and may use this safe room for when you are not home.

Planning ahead for ride home

The Ride Home

Most kittens will do just fine cuddled in the arms of a passenger. If driving alone, a small carrier will work just as well. If longer travel is in store, than it's a good plan to bring along a larger crate, one that would accommodate a disposable litter tray.

What travel services do we offer?  We are so glad you asked!
